First Presbyterian Church-Parkesburg
Welcome      About us

“We know that all things work together for good for those who love God,

who are called according to God’s purposes.” – Romans 8.28

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

I’m really glad you decided to check out our website & learn more about our congregation.  Although we are a congregation of around 125 members, we are committed to putting our faith into action through our service in the community.  As a part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), we value the importance of being connected within our local community as well as to a vast network of other churches in the service of our Lord throughout the world.

Our mission as a church is to live as a fellowship of believers worshipping the Lord Jesus Christ is prayer, song and praise; following and teaching scripture; making disciples and working together as God’s family serving others.

Since arriving at FPC Parkesburg in January of 2010, I have witnessed the wonderful sense of family here – this congregation is a loving, caring group of people, deeply committed to living out the good news of Jesus Christ.  We are actively working towards strengthening our Christian Education programs and developing new ways to be in community with one another.

One of our ministries is our involvement in the Parkesburg Churches Community Outreach, which provides assistance to those in our community in need.  We also have a beautiful community garden in our side yard, which helps to bring nourishing, healthy vegetables to community members.

We hope you will come & join us on Sunday mornings for worship.  Come & be a part of our ministry to a world in need.  This is a wonderful place to be!

Blessings,

Rev. Erin Kobs, Pastor
