Our Mission Statement

The Parkesburg are family of churches, in conjunction with various county and state agencies, seeks to serve the basic human needs of our community, which includes, but is not limited to, food, clothing, furniture, and utilities, and to do so in the name of Christ our Savior.

Food News

Immediate Food Needs Only: If you have an immediate food need that cannot wait until the Mobile Food Pantry date (see below), please contact either the Parkesburg Presbyterian Church at (610) 857-5800 and leave a message for Judy, or Common Clay Church at (610) 857-2236 and leave a message for Jean. Food is available on a emergency need basis.

Mobile Food Pantry: is held on the 4th Wednesday of each month (except November and December when it is held on the 3rd Wednesday due to the holidays). It is held at Our Lady of Consolation (Schneider Parish Center) on Cemetery Road in Parkesburg. The time is 1:30 pm until 5:00 pm (doors open at 1:20 pm). Income is self-declared and the person only needs proof of a Parkesburg or surrounding areas address.

Clothing Needs

Adult and children clothing needs are met through the Righteous Clothing Store, sponsored by the Parkesburg Methodist Church. The store is open to all those in need of clothing. We do not discriminate or judge those that come in to the store. There are no prices on the clothes. We do accept cash donations (of whatever amount); however is someone is unable to give a donation, they are more than welcome to take whatever clothing they need at no charge. The store is located at 322 Main Street in Parkesburg.

Furniture Needs

If you have any furniture needs, please contact the Church of the Ascension at (610) 857-9176 and leave a message for Evie or Marie. Good used furniture is collected and distributed to anyone in need. The church is in need of drivers and truck transportation when furniture needs arise. If you are interested in helping in this way, please call the above number and leave a message and someone will return your call.

Need help with Utility bills, Rent or Housing Issues?

Help is available through the Parkesburg Baptist Church. Please call (610) 857-9135 and ask for Tina or Suzanne. They know just what to do to help. Advice and forms are available upon request.

Donations

Donations for the Parkesburg Churches Community Outreach are accepted through the Parkesburg Presbyterian Church and deposited into a separate fund for only this purpose. If you would like to make a donation to this organization, please make a check payable to Community Outreach and mail to 511 Main Street, Parkesburg, PA 19365, Attn: Pam

Donations can also be made to the Chester County Food Bank. Checks are to be made payable to Chester County Foundation Fund and sent to 28 Market Street, West Chester, PA 19382, Attn: Ruth. This fund (separate from the churches account) helps all the food banks in Chester County including our own Parkesburg Food Warehouse. However, you may designate your contribution to the Parkesburg Food Warehouse if you wish.
